We have developed a strong position opposing the proposed cell phone site at Cash'n'Carry revealing T-Mobile's disregard for the Culver City Municipal Code and misleading information from the applicants.

WHO: T-Mobile/Aaron Anderson (Applicant Representative)
WHAT: Proposal to allow a T-Mobile telecommunications facility at the Studio Village Shopping Center consisting of a 50 foot high architectural cupola tower housing 12 antennas and related equipment located adjacent to the Anna’s Linens and Roll N’ Rye tenant spaces approximately 600 feet from the nearest residential zone. The architectural cupola tower is designed to be consistent with and painted and textured to match the existing shopping center building. The proposed site is an alternate site to the previous proposal at the Cash ‘N’ Carry building located at 5680 Sawtelle Blvd.

WHERE: Project Location: 11046 Jefferson Boulevard (see attached Project Site Map)
WHY: The Planning Division is processing an Administrative Use Permit application for the above described use. The Culver City Municipal Code requires a minimum 15-day public review period for administrative decisions, during which time the Planning Division solicits comments from the public. Following the conclusion of the public review period, an Administrative Decision will be made by the Planning Manager.
WHEN: Public Comment Period: September 3 through September 17 2010.
CEQA: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines, initial review of the project by staff established that there are no potentially significant adverse impacts on the environment and the project has been determined to be Categorically Exempt pursuant to Section 15301 Class 3 New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures, because the proposed project involves installation of small new equipment.
